The Captains Flat opened its doors in 1937 during the mining boom and is the last survivor of five hotels. The Captains Flat Hotel once boasted the longest bar in the Southern Hemisphere. It is still there and if you ask Kirsty she might show you. The Pub still boasts the best company around. Brilliant collection of old photos and some great Pubobilia

Alice says : Great trip to get here.Old mining country with a few rabbits. If you are looking for Aussie and Traditional, this is the pub. The meals are amazing. Couldn't finish the steak I scored, or the seafood either.
