Freaky Tiki

Newtown Hotel

The Hotel was established in 1887 as the Club Hotel, renamed The Rudolf Hotel in 1896, Rugby Hotel in 1900 and the Newtown Hotel in the 1940?

Feb 2011 - "Hey mate. Just letting you know that the Newtown Hotel has reopened for a while as Freaky Tiki.
I went there last Friday night, and actually it wasnt toooo bad. Full of younglings (Im 42), but no Meatheads, or Toffs for that matter.
Here is a review: barzine.com.au/freaky-tiki-newtown.html

All the best Bibs"

Thanks , Cheers.

2008 - The Hotel was the premier gay hotel of Newtown until it was suddenly closed on Saturday 03/11/2007 due to a licensing issue.

The issue is still to go before the courts. We will advise on the site if we hear the Hotel is able to reopen.
