The Windsor Castle has seen some changes over the years - but the internals, with the quaint bars and fireside surrounds are still there for those like me that held it in good stead as the after-work local back in the 1970's.

It is a little hidden away from the busy shopping strip that is Chapel St - probably why so many prefer to pop down this way instead. The outside area, originally developed years ago as a great alfresco dining area, with the chef cooking to your request, was happening long before alfresco became a word! Anyway, enough history and nostalgia.

It was good to see the 'Castle' still serving it up as a fine place to meet with friends and enjoy some great entertainment over an ale of your choice!
