Matong is a town in the central east part of the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is 37 kilometres (23 mi) east of Narrandera and 26 kilometres (16 mi) west of Coolamon.

This small rural community is located within the Coolamon Shire and is home to many nature-based treasures, one of NSW's premier antiques and collectables outlets.

The town can be reached by private vehicle via regional roads connecting through Narrandera (37km west) or Coolamon (26km east), with both towns offering additional transport connections and services for travelers.
