"While looking for something else, here at work, in the NSW Government Gazette of 1911, I came across this notice on 18-1-1911, attached, cancelling the Publican's Licence of Richard Morgan, of the Rifleman's Hotel at Surry Hills. Date of cancellation being 12-1-1911. Whether another licence was ever issued is unknown. If not, 12-1-1911 could be taken as the closing date of the pub. Regards. Peter"
