Can there be anything better than travelling around Australia talking to Publicans and locals and visiting Pubs. Not that we are aware of anyway. The local Pub and its history is part of the history and folklore of the town and if you didn't visit the Pub and the Pubobilia it's hard to say that you really visited the town at all That's our reason anyway and we are sticking to it..
Often the Pub was one of the first buildings erected and housed the workers that built the town and local Industry. The Pub was sometimes moved to the next destination for the rail. Sometimes lost along the way. Occasionaly spun on the spot, built around trees, lost in a bet, held by bushrangers, appearing in movies, standing in two states at once etc etc. Always unique and always interesting.
Publicans.. Listing is FREE
Fortunately there are Pub travellers of like mind who enjoy travelling and visiting our great Hotels and you will see their submissions on our pages. Very grateful and many thanks.
There being over 6800 Pubs and more than a few a week being just to fast to take it all in.... well the maths says it's a team effort to get to these Pubs while we and they are still standing. Thanks team and please send us pics and information.
Thanks Jon G, Robert Aspinall, Kev Court, Simon, John, Mingah, Alice, Cally td and all the contributors. And all the Publicans who take the time to share the history and stories of their Hotels
We also now build websites for Pubs. Contact us if we can help.
See ya on the road.
