The Pentland Hotel Motel is on the Overlander's Way - 2.5 hours west of Townsville on the way to Mt Isa between Charters Towers and Hughenden.
The hotel has been under new management since September 2016.
Facilities include:
- 8 air conditioned motel rooms with ensuites
- 2 pool tables that are free to use
- Hot showers for $3
- Cold drinks and meals
- Free caravan parking and camping (unpowered)
- Beer garden with cooling misting system and kids activities
History of the Town
Established in the mid-1850s, Pentland was a critical rail and communication junction. The establishment of a meatworks and sawmill and the discovery of gold saw the town thrive. Attractions today include the historical Railway Station, Pentland Art Gallery and Norwood Lockup.
