"With a burning desire to get further back inside the curl surfboards went shorter and shorter in the late 60's early 70's This extremely short and radically designed and built board was built by an American surfer named Earl Peterson in the height of the "Hippy" era while living at Whale Beach on the north side of Sydney . To my knowledge Earl did not make a take off on the Eagle"
