El Arish is a rural town and locality in the Cassowary Coast Region, Queensland, Australia.

Established for returning soldiers, El Arish is one of a number of Queensland towns with close ties to infamous battle sites in WWI. Those who had served were eligible to enter a ballot for blocks of land earmarked for sugar cane, and many of their descendants still farm the area today.

The town features a general store, a hotel, a motel, a golf club and a primary school, maintaining its historic agricultural heritage.
